Our staff is excited to meet with you this week to share all the amazing ways your student has grown. These precious moments let us revisit goals, as well as partner by hearing from you about your hopes for your Bobcat. If your child has a 504 or TAG plan that needs annual review, please let your child’s teacher know so we can add time as needed.

What an amazing night to celebrate reading! Thank you to all our families who came to venture through our school in search of literacy activities. Each student got to take home several gently used books and one new book from our SMART reading partners. We collected over 2000 books for our Read-cycle, ate over 35 pizzas, and had over 350 Bobcats prowling our halls. |

Character Trait of the Month |
| For the month of January, our character trait was empathy. In our morning announcements students were reminded to have empathy, identify their own and others’ feelings, notice and respect similar and different feelings, as well as to show compassion. Compassion involves saying kind words or doing something helpful to show you care how another person feels. When students can identify, understand, and respond in a caring way to how someone else is feeling, it helps create a positive and accepting school climate. |

Announcement from our District Office | Thank you for all that you do to keep your children healthy and safe. Covid-19 information about Lane County was released by the Center for Disease Control earlier in January. Lane County’s current Covid-19 Community level is Medium.
The CDC recommends the following: If you are at high risk of getting very sick, wear a high-quality mask or respirator (e.g., N95) when indoors in public. If you have household or social contact with someone at high risk for getting very sick, consider self-testing to detect infection before contact, and consider wearing a high-quality mask when indoors with them. Stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines, including recommended booster doses. Maintain ventilation improvements. Avoid contact with people who have suspected or confirmed COVID-19. Follow recommendations for isolation if you have suspected or confirmed COVID-19. Follow the recommendations for what to do if you are exposed to someone with COVID-19.
